Whatcha Doin?!

This is how the conversation (joke) between Annabelle and William went...

Bella: Hey momma...listen...

Will: Yeah mom, it's funny.

Me: OK tell me.

Bella (to William): Whatcha doin? (in her girly, sweet, 3 year old voice)

Will: Eatin' chocolate.

Bella: Where'd you get it?

Will: The doggie dropped it. (roaring laughter from Will and Bella!)

oh to be 3 and 5 again! =)

Ok so funny thing... you know how kids make up their own words? You know, like han-ga-burr for hamburger or host-i-boldt for hospital (yea...those are my kids!) Annabelle made a cute one the other day... I was making lunch and we were having quesadilla's... these are Bella's favorite. She tells me after she eats..."Thanks for making me a cheesydilla mom" LOL I just had to laugh. She was clear and precise with her other words but cheesydilla!!!! Awe...so cute.

Also...I'm addicted to Facebook. Oh, wait...I think I already told you that! I think it's because I am finding people from forever ago. Like my friend Abby from High School (um...13 years ago) or my friend and floormate in college - Amber (um...10 years ago) and my friend Todd from my Starbucks days down in Newport (10 years too!) It's fun to play catch up and see where everyone is. LOVE IT.

That's all. I'm tired...(it's now 11pm) Steve's been gone for 2 days now and tomorrow will be 3... I need a nap, and a bath, and a good book (which I can't find because I think it's under the laundry pile) and my husband back. I can't sleep when he's not here....

Found my Camera!

I found the camera and so here are a few pictures of the house. We're still settling in so some rooms aren't done yet. So here is a picture of the front of the house. It's practically brand new.






Here is the kitchen on the day we moved in. It's got a huge pantry! We'll be getting a couple bar stools for the island and a kitchen table for the eat in area...eventually... =)





Here is the formal living/dining room. We just got the piano for Hailey and she loves that! So do the rest of the kids so we have to try hard to keep them off of it.





Here is some pictures of the awesome park that is 3 blocks away! The kids really really love it! Here is a video of Annabelle being silly! She likes to hit the button on the water spout and then run away when the water starts to come out!

She hates it. I mean, wouldn't you? She just keeps taking it off and leaving it places. We have a huge house, so I am seriously searching for it. I'll ask her where it is and usually she'll tell me exactly where it is but sometimes not.

This morning was one of those mornings. The alarm went off and I just laid there for a minute. Then... Will comes in my room SCREAMING that Bella took her diaper off and threw it at him! Great. But then it gets worse. She had more than pee in the diaper. So.... good morning to me!

I spent the next 30 minutes cleaning the carpet, ripping off the sheets (because she decided to climb up on his bed) and cleaning her up. WHY? Why are kids fascinated with such things? It's gross and frustrating. She is ready to be potty trained. In fact, she's gone on her own a couple of times but the whole moving thing kinda pushed the potty training aside. But this was the last straw! Seriously!

I know that I'm not the only parent to deal with this right? You would think that since she is my 4th kid I'd have it down, but no. Maybe because she's my 4th kid I'm not surprised by anything anymore.

I hear yelling from upstairs... I guess that would be my cue to go. I think MOM and Ref are one in the same! =)

Packing

So it's been a while since I posted. It's not that I didn't want to post...just haven't had the time to sit down and put my thoughts into actual sentances! You know how that goes don't you.... the 2 year old refuses to go to sleep and now that she can climb out of the crib she thinks it's fun to get up in the middle of the night. She wanders into my room and says "Morning Mommy!" but....it's only 2:45am! AM!!!! No, Bella, it is not morning let get you back in bed... again! After a few nights of this, I am EXHAUSTED!!! So my thougths tend to be sporatic and fatigued! =)

Since I'm also trying to finish my degree by taking classes online, I have homework (which my kids find hilarious!) and Monday night is when everything is due... Did I mention the class is on the American Constitution! Yea....um...I don't do history very well... and me being determined to get an "A" in every class....I'm screwed! =) lol I have had an "A" in every class but 1...it was a "B+" !!! 2 stinkin points away from an "A"...
Anyway, so between kids....school...and packing...I'm tired.

This whole moving thing has really began to stress me out. It's not packing and the move itself ... it's the fact that we still don't know where we are moving. I decided to take a few days to really pray and fast about what the heck we were going to do. In the midst of my time with the Lord, Steve's company informed him that his district will double at the end of the month but they can't tell him where the stores will be yet. >=( Why.....why can't we catch a break? After I begged him to find out some more info (like a general vicinity of locations) he was told to stay along a specific highway. So not the answer I wanted!!! It's in the middle of the state! So, my dream of moving to the beaches of the central coast were just put on hold... and now we are trying to find a place to rent.

We'll be moving in about 12 days.... and ask me if my house is packed! =) NOPE! Still working on it... somehow I misplaced the huge tape roller....so I'm on pause until I can find it...=) The joys of packing with 4 kids that decide that those items you put in the box were really items that they can't live without! and so "please, please, please can't we just keep them!!?!?!?!" as they pull the items out of the box... Yeah...I'm getting lots done! =)
