My husband ~ What a guy!!!
So we spent 4 long days in California trying to find a house! We looked at like...25 houses! It was A LOT of houses! We found a couple that are very workable but nothing that jumped out. We're back home now and we are finishing getting all the financial stuff in order. Hopefully, we'll be ready in about 3 weeks to do it all over again!!! =)
Anyway, Hailey had a birthday party to go to yesterday (Mon) so we were going to pick her up on our way out of town. We hit some traffic but nothing too terrible. All of a sudden the car in front of us started swerving really badly. Then Steve yells out to call 911. Freaked me out! What we saw was horrible. The guy in the car was hitting the female in his car. Brutally. Elbows and such. He was so preoccupied with her that he wasn't paying attention and was swerving into all 3 lanes. Steve was on the phone with highway patrol and was giving them a account of what was going on. We gave them the make/model of the car and the license plate number. The highway patrol actually asked Steve to follow the guy at a safe distance. So we did. The guy pulled onto the shoulder real abruptly and tossed her out of the car. He then took off down the offramp and left her walking along the side of the freeway. We pulled to the side with our hazard lights on and asked her if she was ok. She says yea, she's fine and keeps walking. The highway patrol said that they had someone on the way and to stay with her. We just slowly stayed behind her then realized that he had pulled over at the end of the offramp and was screaming at her from a few hundred feet away. She just kept walking towards him. He then got back into his car and started going in reverse up the off ramp. Cars were having to move out of his way. He then hit the side guard rail which ignited his anger even more. He started yelling at her again. We were told to stay with them, that help was coming. She started to get back into the car, but he speed off. He pulled over again and she kept walking towards him. She eventually got back into the car and we started following them again. Still waiting for the police. He ran a red light so we got stuck but we could still see him. We managed to catch up and at about the same time 3 police cars showed up. They pulled him over right away. We were able to then go up the street and turn around (since we were going in the opposite direction of where we needed to be). As we came back passed them we could see that he was cuffed and on the curb, she was in a cop car and the police were searching his car.
Oh my gosh were we shaking. I would like to think that we saved her life and the lives of the drivers on the freeway since he was driving so badly. It would've been only a matter of time before he just hit another car in his tyraid! We just had to pray for her that she doesn't put herself back into that situation. It was real scarry to see a man attacking a women...in the car no doubt!
I was proud of Steve that he took the time to get involved. You know some people would've kept driving and said "that's sad" or called the police but not get too invloved. I'm proud of him... =)

LOVE AND RESPECT!!!
Steve and I went to the Love and Respect marriage conference this weekend and it was AWESOME! We really learned alot about eachother and how we think and therefore communicate. We would HIGHLY recommend the conference to everyone but if you can't get there...READ THE BOOK!!! www.loveandrespect.com
So my favorite part was this... The difference between a guy and a girl... Imagine... a married couple is getting ready to go out. The wife is standing infront of her closet and she says.."I have nothing to wear" BUT what she really means is "I have nothing new!". The husband is standing infront of his closet and he says, "I have nothing to wear". BUT what he really means is "I have nothing clean!". They both said the exact same sentance...but meant 2 totally different things!
This book and conference is all about our differences. We aren't wrong....we are just different.

Will the HERO!!!
So funny thing happened last night. I had just given the kids a bath and dressed Annabelle. Will was suposed to be getting his jammies on so I ran up stairs to use the bathroom. Hailey comes charging in and says...Will answered the door and it isn't our friends! OMG so I ran down stairs to find our neighbor standing there and Will at the door nekked!!!! Yes, naked. That is Will for you. Anyway, after my total embarrassment, my neighbor asked if I could help her. So, basically... a lady down the street locked herself out of her house and had wondered if one of our kids was small enough to crawl through her dog door. William fit that description. After I threw some clothes on him we walked down the street and we found the dog door. It was VERY small. We were able to get him in there and I talked him through trying to get that door unlocked. He was so brave. All the lights were off in the house and he found the light switch. He managed to get the key for the door and unlock it. The lady was SO grateful and I was SO proud of him! He was proud of himself too. The neighbor kept telling me that Will listened to my directions so well and he was so smart. =) She also said that I was so patient and encouraging! What a wonderful compliment!
